I know it is much safer for your kids to play inside the house rather than being outside your homes. The things around your kids outside your house are sometimes uncontrollable making them vulnerable to danger. But being outdoors can be a good thing for your kids. One of the studies show that everyday we need 20 minutes of natural light to keep our natural rhythms working. This is very much applicable to your kids but you need to be careful as well because as much as the sun can give you benefits, too much of it may do harm. But this could depend on the season. Below are the main reasons why your kids need to be outdoors.
Vitamin D Synthesis- The sun is the source of Vitamin D in our body. It is one important vitamin in the body because they strengthen our bones. Your kids are growing and they too need to develop those bones because they have faster rate at this stage. So if your kids are outside even as simple as playing with their educational outdoor toys for 7-9 years-old, expect that Vitamin D is being synthesized in their bodies.
Ambiance- The lawns of your homes are bigger and they have more space for your kids to play around. The space outside your house is good setting for imaginative plays. You can set-up your childrens
outdoor toys and they can have spaces divided and structured according to their make believe plays. They will not also make a mess in your homes while you are doing chores. Your kids will be able to gain new experiences just being one with nature.
Develop Social Interactions- Our kids need to be social beings. As soon as they realize that they have peers and not only individuals, they will discover the need for interaction. Through other people they will be able to experience socialization and communication. So as simple as letting them invite their friends over or share their outdoor educational toys with them, they become better people. They can adapt more to the different personalities around them making them more flexible in any given crowd.
Promotes Development- Studies and researches have found that kids who play outdoors are more physically and mentally fit. Kids who are lonely can be brought to another light by just being outdoors because they have therapeutic effects. Nature has its own way to give cure to loneliness. They can bring things into a whole new perspective by introduction of new encounters in you’re their life. Physical fitness can be stretched outside your house. Let them play with their outdoor play toys to initiate play without restrictions.
Self-expression- Our kids need to express their emotions. They too need freedom to do this because it will bring out the real them. Being outdoors allows them to round around freely and laugh without restrictions. This can also reduce stresses in your kids. Giving them a chance to play around with their peers, say for example letting them share their outdoor toys, allows them to discover themselves and achieve self-realization.
